For those who don’t have the credit to get an unsecured card or those who simply want to control their credit card spending, the Millennium Advantage Pre-Paid MasterCard can be a good solution. Issued through New Millennium Bank, the card requires that users make pre-payments which can be credited towards future purchases. Money can be added to the card through online account transfers, the mail or with authorized load partners. While the card offers convenience, it does come with some charges including an activation fee, a monthly participation fee and a reloading fee each time money is added to the card. Cardholders wishing to rebuild their credit should be advised that this card does not report transactions to credit bureaus.
