Using the Discover Student Tropical Beach Card is a good way for college students to begin to establish a positive credit history while also earning cash back rewards.
This card has no annual fee, and a low introductory rate that is good for six months. When students use the card at bookstores, restaurants, gas stations and other participating merchants they will earn a certain percentage cash back after they have spent up to the pre-set threshold, but there is no limit to how many points can be earned, and points do not expire as long as the card is active. Rewards can also be doubled when redeemed at partner merchants.
