Students looking to open a credit card that will reward them for getting good grades and using credit wisely will enjoy the Citi® mtvU™ Platinum Select® Visa® Card. Students will earn 5 points for every dollar spent at restaurants, bookstores, record stores, and on movie rentals and theaters, as well as one point for every dollar spent elsewhere. The card helps motivate students to pay bills on time by giving them a 25 point reward when payments are made on time. Additionally, at the end of each semester students can earn anywhere from 250 to 2,000 bonus points based on their GPA. Points can be redeemed for great rewards like gift cards, Cds, airline tickets and mtv sponsored trips and events. There is a limit to how many points can be earned each year, and points will expire in five years if not used.
