The Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card is ideal for college students with an established credit history in need of a credit card with a cash back rewards program. 1% cash back is given on general purchases and 2% is given on purchases made at drugstores, supermarkets, gas stations and on utilities. During the first 6 months the card is in use, the 2% rate is bumped up to 5%, allowing cardholders to earn even more cash back. There is also an introductory interest rate which allows students to make purchases or transfers with no interest for the first six months. There is no annual fee for the card, and cardholders will also have access to many platinum level benefits like identity theft security and travel insurance.
